Car finance covid 19 break help
Options
I took a 3 month COVID-19 break for my car finance as I'm not working due to the virus. I was granted the break on the 27th of March and got a email about the agreement and that it will continue in July again.
Payment has went today due to my own fault. I have a standing order with them, not a direct debit. What is the possibility that they could refund that as I have the 3 month payment break agreement and I really can't afford this with the whole COVID-19 and no work going on. I'm hoping they would understand and refund.
They would of stopped all the direct debits but there was no information about standing orders online and it forgot to move the money from that account to another but I forgot that the car finance company can't stop a standing order payment going to them, I probably should of cancelled it until July.

Will there be anyone there to speak to, you might be better off e-mailing them as they may be working from home.0

You might be best posting here in case someone has done similar and resolved it.

Why not just let it go through and in effect start the holiday from April (assuming they are happy to that). At the end of the day you will still owe the money soit will have to be paid at some stage.0

Different finance houses have different rules. I work for a van leasing company in South Wales and we have tried to be as relaxed as possible with our customers but unfortunately some of our suppliers do not share the same views as us and have demanded payments to be made.
I think everyone needs to throw out their narrow minded thinking during these difficult times and offer any help they can to their customers.0
