"New Posts" option

Hi there.
I know there is a new posts button, so I can see threads that have been updated recently. I am annoyed though that I have to click "forum home" to see the "new posts" button.
Can the new posts button be visible if you are viewing a thread as well? It's annoying having to go to forum home every time.
Unless I am missing something?

Has been asked for numerous times since the move but no response that I am aware of.
It used to be at the top of each section of the forum rather than available on each thread.
