If you pay Bailiff to stop them seizing goods, how do you then challenge the payment.

What do you mean by "challenge the payment"?0

do you have any recourse, if you were not aware of the warrant until Bailiffs arrived and paid them to stop any seizure can you then challange the issue of the warrant and go back to original issue0
-
Not nearly enough information with which to advise, I'm afraid.

We had some PCN`s which went to wrong address, as haulage company Bailiff stated would seize vehicles until payment paid, to stop this we paid. After contacting councils they stated since paid they were now clear.
so is there any way of returning to original stages to pay tickets and to get refund of bailiff charges once payment has been made to Bailiffs0 -
I guess you'd have to prove that the PCNs going to the wrong address was the fault of the issuing councils and not you or your business. For example, if you failed to register a change of address to an authority such as the DVLA, then the PCNs didn't go to the wrong address, they went to the registered address.
What's the story behind the wrong and right addresses?0 -
incorrect info given when company moved, all this came to light following the end of mail redirection, which was set up to correct address but all vehicles had been registered to a different address 1 letter out of postcode which went to other side of building.
The real question is, is there a procedure to go through once a Bailiff is paid with regards to challenging the enforcement.0 -
You may be able to get a refund by contacting the issuing authority (i.e. a council).0

Issuing Councils not interested once paid they claim PCN closed
its more of is there a set procedure once Bailiff paid to challenge the warrant0 -
Who made the error in the postcode when DVLA were notified of the change in address for each vehicle? If it was the DVLA do you have evidence of what was sent to them?
If it was you(r company) then you're "on tae plums" so to speak ... it wasn't DVLA's or the Council's fault that you didn't receive the PCNs.0 -
So who made the mistake registering the vehicles?0
