Get well soon Natty xx
I lost a post earlier...
Today I have
- done level 1
- posted some parcels to my grandchildren
- done some family history
- slept for 2 hours this afternoon
- taken Rosie for a walk
- made some phonecalls
- cooked bacon sandwiches for lunch and chicken stir fry with pasta for tea
- got waylaid by FB and various text messages.
I need to do a bit more family history before bedtime!
Take care, sleep well, and stay safe tomorrow xx10 -
Get well soon Natty.
Mr N really got a taste for window cleaning after doing the kitchen inside and out, he then did the conservatory in and out. Kitchen now better than it's been for weeks, or it was until I made a moussaka.
Rang my mum.
Checked greenhouse.
Picked a load of foliage for a door wreath I'm making tomorrow. The ring shape for hope, green for healing and blue for the NHS. Luckily lots of rosemary is in flower for the blue - rosemary is for remembrance too.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Natty I hope you feel better very soon xx
Not much more flying done this evening, except putting on the DW.
Note: I MUST get some car insurance quotes tomorrow, and plant some seeds 😊 There, I have written it down, so hopefully someone will remind me in the morning! 😁
Keep well & stay safe everyone x10 -
Good morning, a lovely sunny morning here so that helps a lot.
Helped OH move his office back into the library area, he's already on the phone, but hopefully not too many conf calls today.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Bathroom wiped down
Kitchen tidied up
Pellet stove reloaded, other one needs cleaning later when I do the dining room
WM on
Now going to update spending sheet, which will only take a few minutes as just direct debits to do as not been out to the shops or bought anything online. Really hope to see an improvement in the bank balance but I have also given both DDs some extra as they are spending more on food. DD2 was getting a free lunch at work, a good big 3 course meal and now isn't so is buying more than just cereal and soup and DD1 is working in the hospital where the canteen is now closed so she has to take food in with her and it has to be something you can eat easily when and where you can. She also doesn't want to spend ages shopping or preparing food.
Hope all of you and your loved ones who are not well feel better soon.
Hugs all round, see you later

Morning all,
It’s sunny here too, so I am sitting in the LR in the sun with a cup of tea. Yesterday I couldn’t get warm as I have to work at the kitchen table with no sun until late afternoon. I’m going to start today warm!
The village sounds chaotic as the nearest motorway is apparently shut so all the traffic is looking for a diversion. It’s been so quiet here for the past couple of weeks that you don’t realise how much traffic is still on the road elsewhere. So far I have tidied the bedroom, left the bed to air, emptied the dw, WULTD a few bits rather than start to fill the dw again, and put 1 load in the wm. I think it’s my turn to walk to the village shop later so that will be my exercise for the day. The allotment will have to wait, but hopefully I will get into the garden instead. And then there are the kitchen lists that I really must do...
DH is back on the phone again, so it looks like I’ll be creeping around for the day again.Back later, it’s 5 minutes with my book and a cuppa now.
Narc0, that wreath sounds beautiful. Any chance of a picture when it’s done?9 -
Morning all
WM x 2; have washed throw and cat blanket from lounge - shame not to benefit from the forecast. And some towels and my apron. Bother I could have popped the oven mitts in! DW x 1.
GI - I too MUST get car quotes...we'll spur each other on.
I also want to do some forking over in the garden; hopefully the sods will have dried out a bit and be more crumbly and I can get the roots out.
Must see what's on the list. Hoping Natty is improving.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning
So the mother of DS2s GF has offered to drive up here and pick DS up so he can go and see his GF (220 mile round trip). Apart from the fact that this is completely against government guidance, we cant have DS2 going to spend time with another family and coming back here when his brother is in the extremely vulnerable category. Equally I dont want to be in a situation where DS2 gets the virus and needs help and we cant see him. He was grumpy with us last night but I am hoping that he has thought about it overnight. He may just go there and stay, and if he does that's his choice (but I am not happy about it).
DS1 is fretting because his back is hurting (where most of the bone marrow cancer was originally). Off to hang the washing out and drink more coffee, think it could be a stressful day here.10 -
Hugs YL,
Dining room has been damp dusted everywhere, pellet stove cleaned and reload, the floors vacuumed and washed. So done!
Spending spreadsheet updated
Hopefully OH will have a coffee break with me and then I'll get on with getting lunch ready
