It seems possible that your account will be closed because you breached the T&Cs and used a personal account for business purposes.

No point in "fighting" as you won't win if you have breached T&Cs.

Your best course of action seems
    1. if you haven't already got one, get yourself a personal current account somewhere else. Don't use that account for business
    2. get yourself a business account for your business transactions
    3. don't make any "listen mate" posts if you want help from people
Thanks so much buddy 👀I’ve got a starling business  account, I guess have to actually use my business account now, I’ll just try and fight for my account back as I have spent a lot of money through Santander. I’ll use my NatWest monzo and extra for now but really disappointed the bank take me for a fraudster when first hand, asked if I was a victim of such fraud.
The bank aren't saying anything about you as such. They simply don't have the time or resource to investigate. Far simpler to invoke the contractual account terms which you agreed to when you opened the account.
If you are trying to hide your business activities. Paypal do report data to the HMRC.

I’m not even going to cap (lie) but I’m not 18 yet and my PayPal accounts are not verified so they can’t send anything to HMRc because PayPal do not have any of my documents , I turn 18 around September so I guess then they can try verify my account but either way the world moves on I still get my money, Santander loose out on a loyal customer who has banked with them for just over a month 🤙
Banks likewise report suspicous data. This data gets uploaded to the HMRC database monthly. Over time a picture builds.

If a bank 'suspects' fraud they will take action to minimise customer losses. If a bank suspects a transaction looks suspicious (according to their algorithms) they will take action to minimise their customer losses. Amataa well done for being business minded at your age, however because in legal terms you are viewed as a 'child' the bank may well be acting cautiously (an overbearing parent) to stop you being the victim of a (perceived) scam. Have they asked you or your parents for any information?
May you find your sister soon Helli.

My parents don’t even know I have a Santander account, let alone it being down for closure. I tend to keep my life personal and not really tell anyone, what’s going on in my head. But that’s just me I guess, when people know more information about you especially your parents there outlook changes and they just ask a whole leap of questions which quite frankly I don’t really have time to discuss or dispute over, id rather be me and tell me what the best next move is.TripleH said:

Maybe that's why it was closed - because your parents don't know about it?  Shouldn't they have been involved with the opening of the account?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

I saw that many solicitors (and presumably banks) view tax evasion as a form of money laundering. Trying to dodge HMRC makes things very suspect, and I’d imagine many banks would want to distance themselves from you and your business

If you are importing the sneakers I’d check to make sure your paying the vat and duties due. If you’ve been avoiding these you may get a painful bill when they catch on

could be wrong, but I wonder if these sneakers are being sold accurately, ie are they the brand they purport to be, or could they be considered counterfeit

Yeah I do tend to pay taxes through shipping companies such as ups prior to arrival at Heathrow. But hey I don’t know of any taxes I should actually pay , hmrc clearly state the sale of personal items under 5000-6000 are tax free . All these shoes I sell tend to be fully sold out and hence deadstock I buy a few pairs sell for anything from 1.5 to 5 times the price. These are all personals and I buy a few so I can afford to cover the cost of one shoe that I add to my collection. What’s your thoughts on this reckon I’m liable to pay taxes ?mwarby said:

They aren’t personal items if being purchased for resale

the shipping box should have a declaration on them detailing the contents and the value. I know many companies in China in particular will under report the value, say it’s a gift/sample and often say a tablet is a photo frame (a electronic photo frame worth £20 vs a tablet worth £200). Legally you are responsible for that declaration(although it’s difficult to enforce)

Well that could be argued yet again, these items are not initially for resale they are my personal items part of my huge collection of rare sneakers. If I have money due for a gym bill or phone bill etc I just sell the shoes for around 200-800 depending on how rare. Here I don’t have to hassle my parents and get them to pay for these essentials as it might just be to much when you have 8 kids ha ha
