Way back on page one of this thread, my only "criticism" was that you asked how you could "reclaim" when you were totally reliant on a goodwill gesture from Amazon. Regardless of how this thread (all six pages of it  ) then developed, such a gesture  is exactly what you received. 

You were extremely fortunate that Amazon decided a full refund was appropriate because legally they could so easily have offered a partial refund or none at all. 

Certainly you must now take urgent steps to ensure that this never happens again. Any repeat will not be looked upon so favourably.
