    And finally, for ANYONE who finds themselves in this situation (and reads this thread), don't beat yourself up or let others do so.  There are good people out there and people (including 7 year olds and 46 year olds make mistakes)! And yes, you can get help and get it refunded because (again) there are people out there willing to help...

    Way back on page one of this thread, my only "criticism" was that you asked how you could "reclaim" when you were totally reliant on a goodwill gesture from Amazon. Regardless of how this thread (all six pages of it :o  ) then developed, such a gesture  is exactly what you received. 

    You were extremely fortunate that Amazon decided a full refund was appropriate because legally they could so easily have offered a partial refund or none at all. 

    Certainly you must now take urgent steps to ensure that this never happens again. Any repeat will not be looked upon so favourably.
