If you don't pay the balance on your holiday, you will have cancelled it and will lose the deposit.

    Automatic generated email.

Your choice is pay the balance and protect the whole amount or decide to cancel and lose most of what you have already paid.

I think there will be some recourse for customers which choose the latter, over the months to come.

We had a holiday booked with OTB. We were due to fly out on 11th April. They didn’t take our last payment and emailed us on 24th March telling us our holiday had been cancelled. I’ve been trying to get our money back for our flights ever since. They won’t give me any time frame as to when we can expect a refund and just keep saying that they’ve got to wait for A refund from the airline before they can refund us.

They don't have to wait, if fact the law says they shouldn't be waiting if it brings it over 14 days.

My holiday has just been cancelled, has anyone received a refund yet? Not sure why we paid a third party if they aren't the ones liable and we have to wait for a refund from the actual airline but dont have the same rights if we booked directly?

I don't have a holiday booked with On The Beach (did travel with them a couple of years ago) but today received an email saying that they would refund all cancelled holidays in cash, not voucher.
  • I had holiday booked with otb to fly on 8th April. Otb cancelled it and told me i would get refund. The hotel and transfer refund was almost immediate, unfortunately the flight refund still hasnt been made. Have messaged otb 3 times and they say cant refund flight money until they recieve from easyjet and to be patient. I messaged easyjet while flight although still showing on  site, was cancelled status. They said refunded to otb and they would refund as package deal.
