Why London?  Where has Scotland suddenly appeared from in the thread?
I think the OP is going to be the "Lay Rep".

I've read back over the full thread, and yes there is reference to being a LR for his mother In a couple of posts, but the rest of the thread seems to suggest that the Defence has been submitted in his own name.

@disrepair can you clear up any misunderstandings please?

Reading back it seems that the OP has written the defence on behalf of Mum (hope it was done in and signed by Mum's name) and is intending to lay rep for her.

My apologies for the confusion, I'll be the lay rep for my Mum. I was just hoping the court case will be dated before I have to go back to uni in Scotland!

The defence has been written on behalf of my Mum, and was signed, dated, in her name, as has all correspondence with BW Legal and whatnot. I hope this clears up the confusion! @Umkomaas

Also, another round of apologies, it seems that I don't get email updates whenever there's a new post on the thread... Luckily, BW Legal sent me a reminder to check by post, by sending me a response to my defence. The first paragraph being that it's an internet defence and that "it is apparent that a large amount of the information has been copied and pasted"... "large portions of your defence are nonsensical"... and that due to "content [being] evidently copied, your defence cannot possibly be deemed within the scope of your own knowledge."

Anyway, so far, I'm working on a witness statement and will upload photos of their response to the defence, as well as my WS to see you could advise me on what to improve.

Do a forum search on 'nonsensical' to see that you're not the only lucky recipient of that claptrap.

Seems like Mr/MS/Mrs ignorant is back from lockdown.  BWLegal do write the utmost crap
Take no notice of these ignorant people and concentrate on their fakery for adding £60

If it does go to court and the judge mentions the internet, you simply say you did a search as you did not understand why they added £60 when you discovered other courts have said it's unlawful

They would probably lose at "Noughts and Crosses"; even when they go first!

Thank god it's another template, I for once thought they were actually going to start trying, and I'll have to put in some actual effort on my part.

Good to know that ironically, with their "copy and pasted from the internet" point, I can just point out how their entire thing is just a copy and pasted template that's just been adjusted to make it fit the case...
