I would suggest that even at this stage, to save their embarrassment in court, you write to them
Haha, I'll be sending them that. Might as well give them a run for their money, and for wasting my time.

It'll be quite amusing to see their response, as I'm sure they'll try to hold whatever imaginary ground they think they've got.
Be interesting to see what rubbish they come back with, no doubt their latest wheeze which is the CoP allows them ..... hahaha

They may drag up their old excuses ... ALL UTTER RUBBISH

Well, I submitted the defence the night before on the 13th (deadline 14th April), and had this strange interaction.

I haven't submitted a part admission at all, this is the email reply I received (to which I immediately replied telling them that I hadn't submitted any response bar my defence).

Checked MCOL today and was greeted by this.

Safe to assume they've taken my defence in, I guess?.... No idea what this part admission is, I forgot the Gov't Gateway login a week before it was apparently received and had to recover the account a short while ago.

Will update if anything happens - No response from BW Legal telling them to drop it or Napier's SAR, so let's wait and see.

When you filed an Acknowledgment of Service, did you place anything at all in the Defence box?

No idea. Part admission is failing to tick the right box when ack the claim, from memory.

Do we really expect a response from BWLegal ???  Don't think so because at this stage they can only lie about the fake £60 and that will be very dangerous for them.   A non reply can only mean that their witness statement cannot be relied upon as genuine, especially when the fake £60 will be added

This is just another BWLegal case that they either discontinue or be spanked in court

I don't even expect a response in time from the SAR, they're taking forever.

Hopefully, if they decide to take it all the way through, at least I'll get compensation for the time I wasted due to their antics.

Mind you, with lockdown happening, it's not like I've anything better to do... Free money either way.

Must have been a CCBC error.  Looks like it's been adjusted though.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well, just received my SAR from Napier.

Turns out the reason their letters were never received (except the debt collection ones that were sent a lot later) is due to moving house a week before their letter for the contravention arrived (letter was sent to old address). The contravention itself was overstaying a parking ticket at Willen Lake, they had taken pictures of the car and ticket 12 minutes after it expired. They refused to provide PDT machine records as "this information does not relate to personal data". Along with that, they haven't sent anything detailing what time the car entered the car park or left the car park on the day (23/06/18).

lnterestingly enough, they never replied, but in the SAR, there is a pdf file of the very email I sent them, so that was a nice acknowledgement.
Must have been a CCBC error.  Looks like it's been adjusted though.
Unfortunately also figured out what the issue here was. They had been sending more letters and scaremongered my parents into paying (the ticket is for my mum), so my dad had talked to them and basically said they were willing to pay 60 quid to "make it all go away", which I hadn't been aware of (living at University, far from home). No payments were made, however.

There is a picture of a Defence and Counterclaim (specified amount) form which under "How much of this claim do you dispute", my dad ticked "I admit the amount of [60]". No signatures at all on the form itself. Seeing as this part admission was rejected and they took the defence in instead, do you think this will pose an issue? Already phoned up the parents and told them again not to talk to those slimy b####rds.

Thanks again for all the help.

There was a reply from BWLegal to one OP today.  It is obvious that they are oblivious to the real world as you will see, a letter totally full of rubbish
