EE contracts

i have two phone line contracts with EE that are not being used due to various reasons. Now due to Covid-19 my earnings, i need every penny. I have tried to talk to them about this but i keep getting fobbed of with answers like 'you had a instalement plan last year we can not do it again' and 'is there anyone else in the house that can pay the bills for you'? This is costing me over £100 a month for something that is not being used in any shape or form. A big corporate company like EE need to re think their policies during these unprecedented times. Any advice out there?

Had a similar issue last year. I ended up porting the number out to a pay as you go sim, which generated my final bill (significantly cheaper than if I was to let the contract run until the end). And once defaulted I’ll pay off at £5 a month. 6 years it’ll be gone from my credit files but I’d rather that than be paying silly amounts per month when I’m not using it0
