Yes, I got around it by using incognito mode in Chrome,rich68 said:

I have had the same problems tonight with Firefox, but once I tried in Firefox incognito it was fine.

A complete coincidence I know, but I couldn't get onto Nationwide last night with Firefox whereas Chrome was completely fine. I never tried a private window, but will give that a go if it ever stops working again.0
