Over 70s are supposed to stay isolated for 12 weeks so no going to the supermarket.
Tonight we had chicken and mushroom risotto made with the stock and scraps of chicken that I froze from last weeks roast chicken dinner. Didn't have any Parmesan so stirred in some strong grated cheddar before serving and it was delicious. All that clutter used to be money7

I had an email from Sainsbury's today asking customers to make sure only one adult goes in to do the shopping. If two adults turn up one of them will be asked to wait outside. Obviously children are exempt, if there's no possibility of them staying at home. One life - your life - live it!7

I should add that I believe that the strongly-worded advice is that people should not meet up with people outside their own household, which suggests that meeting a friend to go to a supermarket is not advisable.
Plus, lets, face it, the fewer and fewer people that do go out, or meet up, the less this thing will spread, the more quickly it can be dealt with, and fewer people will DIE. ☹️(I just lurve spiders!)

It isn’t just about the danger to oneself, though, it is also about the danger of picking up the virus and spreading it around.-taff said:It''s proably less dangerous to go in a car in a back seat than go on the bus which is never disinfected.Monna, does your local council do free food boxes for the over *cough* 70's ?
An individual might not get ill, but they might have spread the virus to two or more other people by leaving it on surfaces, eg the seats of the car, the door handles, everything they might touch and breathe on.(I just lurve spiders!)

Yes. But again. If it's a choice of bus or car, then car it would be. Surely it's obvious that a car wil potentially have less viral load than a bus?
