Traded shares in OCDO, TSCO, RBS and NESF in the past week.
RBS aka NatWest now that's a gamble or day trade? Although it was brilliant in the past bought at £1.48 and sold at twenty-odd quid a share and moved the huge profit into property :)  Just pure luck selling before the financial crisis. That's pretty much why I don't believe in time in the market mantra.
    RBS:
Yes I know a lot of people lost a lot thanks to Fred.
I did a couple of 5% trades, keeping a few for the dividend.

Planned and future dividends for this year have now been scrapped. You may be waiting a while for a recovery in share price

I'm retired so I've not been putting any new money into my portfolio over the last few years, but if there is another downward turn then I might eventually consider putting some of my cash savings into something like VWRL - I'm not bright enough to figure out which will be the best performing shares over the next umpteen years, so I'll just go for an all-world fund.

I'll probably buy some more shares of Unilever. The rest of my portfolio is a wait and see. Might dip toes into some banks which I don't currently hold but want to see a greater fall still than what seen so far and today.

Other choice if people are getting itchy trigger fingers but don't know what to buy is to just buy index funds.
