I'm putting this on our bins today, help yourself to a copy.

I also make sure my bin handles face the road.
It saves the bin men a few seconds per bin, which means they can get their rounds done quicker.
Also my neighbours "share" wheelie bins, means fewer bins for the collectors to empty.
As Mr T says "every little helps"

I have very little waste to go in the main wheelie bin, although over the last 18 months I've noticed a huge increase of 'fresh produce plastic', so I routinely only put it out every 3rd or 4th collection.  There is rarely anything in there to decompose but anything 'wet' is wrapped in a sheet of newspaper.  If everyone did this when possible, it would make a big difference.
