Click on Settings instead and then on Search Settings ... it should bring you to this page: https://www.google.co.uk/preferences?hl=en
At the bottom expand Region Settings and make sure it is set for UK rather than Current Region. Click on Save ... this may take you to an "I'm Not A Robot" / Captcha screen where you need to tick the box.
PS - I've set my default search engine to Google.co.uk rather than .com0 -

O.P....Have you tried another browser?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I logged in to Google.com and got exactly the same screens as I did in Google.co.uk (following the same method as I described previously). However this was using the Chrome browser, although I'm surprised if the Firefox browser responds differently to what is essentially just a web page.
Perhaps this may help? https://www.google.co.uk/homepage/search/sp-firefox.html (Edit: just noticed that this simply selects Google, not the UK version).
There's similar info available to do likewise in the Chrome browser (this does work for the UK version).0 -
JAS..You just have Google.com in your list of search engines and have it selected as default. You need to add Google.co.uk, then select it as your default search engine.

I just don't know how to do it.I go to their add ons, to add the Google search in .co.uk format https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?category=search-tools&page=1&platform=windows&q=Google&sort=recommended,rating&type=extension but it doesn't look like it exists.I've searched around trying to see if i can edit the URL to the quick-search but it appears you can't. I use quick search for all my searching so i'd rather be able to go through that if it was at all possible.

As the OP had just posted about clicking on Tools (and even posted a screenshot of it), and the Settings option is right next to Tools, I thought it was obvious what was meant?

Ahh thanks Wongataa. I wont quote you as it'll take up too much scrolling time with all them imagesJust done that and it brings up results from google.co.uk now but seemingly still the same issue. Sticking with the search term we used earlier about set & forget investing to keep everything consistent and it's still American sites.Though this time when i clicked Tools i actually got the option to select country. I selected "the UK" from this and voila, it brought up results as mentioned earlier in the thread. Now what i could do with is that being automatic with a search, rather than me having to click Tools>the UK and in such a way where it doesn't bring up an additional 2 tabs on startup that need shutting down.0
