How to get (mainly) UK results from Google?

It gets a bit annoying when you're searching for something and you keep getting American results.

Say for example you're Googling something that's related to pricing ... the articles that come up first in the search are all in dollars. Sure if you scroll down for a while you may find something in GBP£ but you have to go fishing for it.

Just now i've tried to do some searching on investing, index tracker funds, set and forget investing. Those were the sort of search terms i was using.

The bulk of my results are American based. Talk of 401k plans and the like.

Pretty annoying that the whole thing is tailored as though i'm living in America. How do you stop that?

Make sure you are using Google.co.uk. Also click on 'Tools' and then where click on the drop down that says 'Any Country' and change it to the UK.
Your searches should look something like this   https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=set+and+forget+investing&cr=countryUK%7CcountryGB&tbs=ctr:countryUK%7CcountryGB,qdr:y&source=lnt&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiK3MaDl8PoAhXJi1wKHaldA-8QpwV6BAgOECA&biw=1520&bih=1287

As i follow that URL and do what it says, now every time i open FireFox it opens an additional 2 tabs on startup for some reason which return 'Server Not Found' in each and both need closing down.

Just checked it in Edge and it works perfectly. When you say, 'do what it says', what exactly is it you do? Did the link in my post work?

do a google search, scroll down to bottom of page and click, 'use precise location'.

Your link did but your instruction actually doesn't. Same way frugals instruction didn't work for me.

By that i mean if i click your link then the results coming back are fine - moneywise, morningstar, fool, all .co.uk. However if i click Tools then there's no such option to select country. I can screenshot it for you if you wish but all i'm getting when i click Tools is:

Any Time ... which can be changed to "past x-hours"

All Results ... which can be changed to Verbatim.

That is it. Absolutely nothing about a country selection. To clarify, this is on google.co.uk using FireFox. Even if i click "more" i can't get a country option.

Also as for blueskinnedbeast's answer, i followed that as clicking his link provided a suggestion that i throw in to my default homepage which was [https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?tbs=ctr:countryUK|countryGB&cr=countryUK|countryGB] which sort of works - but as i say, ever time i open up FireFox it throws up an additional 2 tabs (for a total of 3 tabs open right from the off) which then need to be closed down, which is kind of annoying.

@JustAnotherSaver are you signed in to a Google account when using Google search? Not 100% on this but I think the options suggested only become available when you are.

Sorry not quite sure what you're saying. Isn't that the link i provided and repeating what i said happens?

Yes i'm always signed in.
