I am expecting the system to open as usual (being automated) however I expect a much longer wait than usual for repayments, where due.

The release of a new year of the self assessment website is anything but automated.  Trust me on that.

Nearly all civil servants are working from home where possible now.  All department's (including HMRC) digital staff regularly work from home anyway, so there's little reason they can't continue like normal.

    Hi,
not done my SA yet, but got an email today about a tax refund, it's got a gov.uk address to make it look genuine, needless to say I didn't click it, straight in the bin.
    So, beware.

I've completed my return but not submitted it yet. I received no coding notices from HMRC for 2019/20 (neither by e-mail advice nor post) and I need to access them to see how the weird and wonderful adjustments, like K codes, have worked out. (I received coding notices by post for 2018/19). I expected to be overpaid due to the lower interest receipts between the two years but I'm a fair bit underpaid at 5.4.20 in spite of my 2018/19 statement of account showing an overpayment (not yet claimed).
I'm paying for my neglect in not taking more timeous action.  So - I cannot access anything in my account relating to anything other than the basics for 2019/20 and what I've entered in today - but I'm obviously going the wrong route.
    Advice please.
