SNOOZER I think about a lot of our once regulars and now MIA. I was only thinking about LAMEWOLF yesterday as life was a battle for her when things were "normal". And I miss SPEKY too it was the only exercise I got reading about him keeping up his fitness levels! He seemed to disappear when the big changeover happened.
GERS I know it's no consolation to you but even those on the Gov severely at risk register here are finding it impossible to even register with a sm to get home deliveries. I have read so many heart rending stories. So much for Boris's promise at the outset that all those in isolation would get priority pick of delivery slots! x

Morning all
Another bright sunny day here but freezing cold and yesterday we had a few snow flurries while we were walking. Life remains the same here (as it does for everyone) the house is very clean and OH has done some jobs that have been waiting for months the grass is cut and strimmed, maybe we can give the hedges a trim next !
The rest of the roast pork for dinner today, we will need a few bits of shopping by the end of the week but we are trying to get it all done in one trip.
I am hoping to hear from the hospital this week to see if my op will go ahead or not, if it does I dont think anyone will be allowed to visit so I hope I get to come home quickly and am not stuck in there for ages !
Cars have still not been cleaned so thats also on the list for some point.
I was thinking of specky and Tru as well I hope they are both ok, I do 'see' Jackie O on FB so know she is doing ok, she is in isolation but her lovely family are supporting her as much as they can x
Have good days all and stay safe xx15 -
Morning all.
Just popping in briefly as the hour going on has put me all out. Added to which I spent all yesterday evening coping with power cuts and phone calls from anxious neighbours wanting to know if I need anything and am I all right.
Now I have to prepare for this morning's Facetime with DGD and trying to see what she has written on the piece of paper she is waving about in the distance.
LameWolf is still around. The social distancing is not a problem for her, but I think she is worried about medication supplies. I would think that her dog-sitting business will be very quiet because no one will be going on holiday. She is such a lovely, brave lady.
Will come back later.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I am at that age where my mind still thinks I'm 29, my humour suggests I am 12 while my body keeps asking if I'm sure I'm not dead yet.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning all! Got up stupid early to get to the SM. It was actually completely civilised. I was waved through ahead of of normal people queueing, I did the old self scanning thing so I wouldn't have to wait for a till, which were all spaced out nicely and the people with trolleys were spaced out, got all my shopping for the week, which was mostly fresh fruit and veg [although I did get a couple of packs of reduced price fishcakes, the ones with the sauce in the middle ] paid and left. Hardly any traffic on the roads. The hour going on has put me right out too, I was asleep yesterday afternoon for a nap, by the time I woke up, cooked food and ate it it was quarter to ten....We did not a lot yesterday, I dug a bit, and discovered with a fully charged battery and the drill set on some esoteric combination, the screws did actually go in. Huzzah. OH played with his X box, and to be fair, he was hurting all over from smashing concrete, so I gave him the day off
I can hear the dulcet tones of the recycling bin men coming round so I dashed out and put our recycling out. Another days huzzah! So so far today, two nice things have happened...Nanny and Nelski, just remember to sit them six foot away from each in the chara...I'm sure it'll be back up and running soon though, otherwise there may be an intervention happening...TA, we're all with you in spirit, chase them lonley blues away and have a hug. RR, hope your op does go ahead, there's enough to be worrying about already....Hey all readers along, dance till you laugh yourself silly, put on some happy music and shout along to it [ I'd say sing but I can't so I will wail thank you very much] and have a Mood enhancing Monday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi14 -

First time out gate for 2 weeks for OH to have a Warfarin test.........unreal as roads and town were almost bare, was glad to get home....talk about being institutionised!!
Glad to hear that Lame Wolf is all right, have missed her.
Love to all my friends on MSE......stay safe and well.
We are well here and observing rules for our cocoon status.

My walk outside taught me two things - 1) people are being very kind, not only kind but friendly too. Almost everyone I past either smiled as we body-swerved each other or actually spoke. The other thing is that walking round the supermarket pushing a trolley around is much easier than proper walking the streets. I took my crutch and was very pleased to have it. I did a lot of waddling, stopping and swearing at myself.MM - well done on getting out. It's all too easy to stay indoors.12

Gers apologies but I have only just read your 1st post about delivery slots and vunerable people. We have the same problem here in Wales. Our stores which were good, will now have to accommodate meals for Dad too, despite me meeting him at Morries to help him stock up before this all kicked off. He spent £12 as he had plenty in........ obviously not. I wish he would tell the truth about things. He also told me that he went through his chest freezer yesterday and threw a lot of things out that he will never eat or doesn't fancy... What !! If you're hungry you'll eat it. It would be very helpful if he could just get the free parcel now and again, but that seems unlikely too.We are also having trouble getting our meds and we can't get hold of the pharmacy to check if they are there. Mr Fix It's surgery confirmed that his script had been picked up by the pharmacy. Mine is not as important as his and I can half my dose for a while.nan xxPS DD has just rung and the pharmacy door is closed and the shutters are down, so we have no idea what is going on as it should be open til 6pm.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13 -
Afternoon all. I come back to report my climb out of the rut happened! In fact I have had my painter's head on for good measure!! I decided the appliance cupboard needed a tidy as more stuff without a home had found its way in there again. When I say appliance cupboard that isn't as posh as it sounds - it's the top shelves of the old small pantry! It didn't get a facelift when the kitchen was done so the same paint has been on for years. So out everything came and it's all now looking much fresher with a new coat of emulsion on it.
So now it's onwards and upwards, as there are many more jobs lined up that I should be doing! Plus I have actually spoken to people!! I took some rubbish to the bin and the young (ish) lady over the way came half way over the road to ask if I was ok or needed anything. We had a nice long distance chat! Then my oldest buddy gave me a video call as she said she was forgetting what I looked like! She's been texting me numerous times throughout every day about this and that but a first for a video call.
It was good to hear LAMEWOLF and JACKIE are coping. Anyone hear off HOLLY or OL (Judi)? Have a good afternoon all if you can xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -

I can understand them closing for lunch as they are innundated just now.11
