my initial question was regarding replacement product suggestions from a Sky router and I know its not an issue with wifi so to answer YOUR question no.
Also im not in a position to setup access points as I havent got data points throughout the house to connect to.0 -

IF you get another router you can put the sky one into modem mode and plug your new router into the back of it.
However, where is the router situated? next to the fridge/freezer? under the stairs?
Could it be that the router itself is in a bad position? How thick are your walls?
My walls are 22" thick, getting a signal throughout the house isn't good so I have to use another router in the attic rooms.
Exactly what router to get is upto you, do your research on it.0 -
People always complain their 'wifi is dropping out' but what we dont know is if the drop outs happen between the exchange and your house or between your router and your device (phone, laptop, etc). I have a sky router and if I go into the control panel for it and click 'Connection Status' it says my connection has been up for 58 hours so I must have lost connection between my router and the exchange 58 hours ago. If I had lost wifi on my phone 3 hours ago then I would know its an issue with my routers wifi and in that case a new router may help, maybe get one with external wifi antenna, the good ones costs about £150. If you know when your wifi last dropped out perhaps look and see if you lost connection at that time as well?0

The OP stated it's a wifi problem, but refuses to answer any questions from people trying to help....which leaves other posters stabbing in the dark and therefore can't give any sensible answers/solutions........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple1
