That's very easy to fix in Microsoft Word (I'm sure it's true for other word processors, but I'm more familiar with Word).1 -

Easy to fix in M$ Word, just toggle F9 (I know that is true I just asked an 8-yer old!)1 -
Or you could have M$ Word hide empty/blank fields? I'm sure I've used that option before because even with toggling F9, it can still show the field names.
