Lidl document shredder UAV 190 B2 - putting it back together!

Not sure if this is right topic, but will give it a go.... I have the above paper shredder, which needed a clean, it is out of warranty. As was bored with self isolating, decided to take it apart, and cleaned it, whilst doing so, turned it upside down and bits all fell out!! Managed to put it back together in right places, apart from a small black thing that is obviously some sort of 'switch', possibly to turn on the blades. Have searched the internet, looked on Youtube, but can't see where to put it back......... Anyone got any ideas? Thought someone who is a bit mechanical minded might be able to help........Many thanks!

Sounds like the micro-switch that detects when paper has been inserted into the blades. Is there a wire connected to the "black thing"?0
-
Le_Kirk, Yes, two wires, both red..... one in, one out? Looks like they might then be attached to a circuit board of some sort.
I will see if I can photo it and attach. Thanks for reply so far!0 -
Definitely seems to be the paper detector micro switch then. On mine (not same brand as yours) it clicks into a slot just behind the blades/rollers.1

There are two micro switches on some units. One for the paper detector, and one as an interlock so that the unit won't run when the shredder part is removed from the bottom container.1

Okay, thanks Le_Kirk and Jackmydad, definitely only one switch (that I can see), the shredder runs (or it did!), without the base container, so I don't think there is a second micro switch.
Trying to attach
photos. Photos: 1. whole inside workings, 2. micro switch, 3, other view of micro switch, 4.space it goes into?
Le_Kirk, I see you say the micro switch slots behind the blades/rollers....... any idea which way up or how please?0 -

Not had much luck in getting photos onto site, it appears that first one is the micro switch, second is the place where it goes into.0

Pictures are showing fine. The cables fitted to the micro switch are normally JUST long enough, so I would (with the plug out) see how far they will stretch and try to line up the micro switch with whatever bit of casing is handy. It might fit (without screws) onto that piece of bent bracket that one can see in your bottom photo. The paper has to trip the switch and be able to pass by it to get into the cutting wheels.0

What a clear reply-thanks! Managed to fit it all back together, put screws back, plugged it in, lights came on, but only works in reverse!! Any more suggestions please? (So nearly there......!)

On mine the on/off switch is a reversing switch with centre off, left normal, right reverse. Could it be this or, if the cutting wheels are in a bank, could you have reversed this left to right?0
