Either use a bank to transfer at their rates or use someone like Currencies direct to transfer it at a better rate.
The bank transfer will be protected but others are not. To minimise the risk only use a well established company and send the money in several lots, waiting till one arrives safely before sending the next.
We have used Currencies direct many times over the years with no problems.0 -
