I have a static caravan sited in North Wales. Through coronavirus the Welsh government have closed the parks and no one is allowed to stay there (quiet understanderbly). But can we claim any of the site fee back, as it's not our fault and it's not the site owners fault. There are thousands of people in this situation and nobody seems to know

As I understand it all caravan park sites will be responding to this in the near future.2

We are in the same situation in North Wales as yet there still seems to be nothing anywhere online which offers any help.Dickieg1 said:I have a static caravan sited in North Wales. What have you lost, if anything, by it being closed?0

3,500 in site fees if they don't open all season. That's what we have to pay before the season starts0

We are in the same situation in the Yorkshire Dale's. We have emailed the owners twice enquiring about a site fee reduction/rebate whilst the site is shut but have had no response,. Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated.1

As I understand it all caravan park sites will be responding to this in the near future. This should come through their Trade Association (http://www.bhhpa.org.uk/) who will be getting advice from lawyers at the moment. Where a contract to supply has failed for whatever reason, there is usually a mechanism to resolve it. Best to register for compensation in the same way as people have done with other holiday companies.
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's and their rules apply.

Might be helpful for the OP if you copy and paste it in here then they don't need to try and find it amongst all the other posts.JoNoPo said:Hi i posted a question on "Caravan site fees during Covid 19" this morning at 9.04 and ive just posted the reply I received from the owners of a site in Northumberland which may be of interest to you1 -
Our site is opening on 11th July BUT with no toilet facilities. How are we supposed to go without toilets?!0

I assume they only open to caravans with built in toilets.0
