  • From day one of the new forum the links running along the top right of the page have always had a slight delay in appearing (still do)

The delay is permanent, it doesn't show at all !

There isn't even a "hamburger" button on those screenshots. Something isn't working properly clearly.

The only way I can get a page like that to show (without any menu options) is on an ancient W7 machine using an outdated IE browser. Even then you can still bookmark the page for the forum.

maybe I'm missing something but why would you go in via the main site page?
I signed in to the forum once, favourited my usual sections then bookmarked that page. Now I go straight in without having to repeat the sign on ever again.

That's fine for people that have been here before but doesn't really help Newbies who struggle at the best of times.

Because I go in via the emailed Newsletter; always have done in all the years I've come here; each to their own.

Yes, that shot is of the main site;  it is no longer shown there on the new versioned forum.

each to their own indeed !
I'm suggesting a way that is simpler, faster, and actually works when compared to a link that isn't there.

For me it says Forum on the drop down menu on the main site. Click it and it reports the page has crashed due to an unexpected error. It's been like that since day one.
At last it's fixed. I can now see a forum home.
