I want to use my isa allowance for this year in a cash isa. I don't have internet banking and can't get to a branch so can't open a new account - I haven't been able to get through to bank on phone all day.
I've got a 2 year cash isa from a few years ago with Bank A. Can I transfer money from Bank B into it, and it count for this year, or do you have to open a new account?
Sorry if this is a basic questions, and thanks in advance.

Whether you can add to an existing cash ISA depends on the ISA you hold. Some allow additional deposits, while others do not.

If you tell us where your existing ISA is held, precise name of account and when it was opened, we might be able to help.
In addition to what masonic said, if you do not have internet banking, can't get to a branch and can't get through on the phone, how do you propose to transfer £20k?
Finally, are you sure a Cash ISA is the best option? Do you earn over £1000 in interest pa assuming BR taxpayer)0 -
Hi,Soon to be newly qualified nurse. I want to start saving seriously for my own home, I have £1000 to open a new savings account. Can you recommend/suggest the best way to save for up to 3 years. Can probably save around £1000 a month for the next 3 years.0

Do you have a Lifetime ISA where you could add up to £4k per tax year for a 25% government bonus. If you act quickly them you might be able to deposit before this tax year ends on 5th April.

If you expect to buy in 3 years then a Cash LISA would be more suitable than a S&S LISA. Moneybox offer both but their Cash LISA has a market leading interest rate.
