So we are getting furloughed next week and been told that we’re getting 80% of basic pay. The problem been 50 weeks of the year I work around 55 hrs a week, but on a 40hrs at standard rate, and then after 40hrs we get time and half, also standard week is 7-5, but I always work 6-5.30 minimum . So what classes as normal pay ??

My reading of your question is that you get 80% of basic pay, basic pay doesn't include overtime.Nobody is quite sure what the rules are yet, so maybe you will get more. It's worth bearing in mind that here are some not being furloughed at all just laid off, if they have been in the job for less than 2 years they will be getting nothing, and ending up on universal credit.0

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
