We are trying to move our TUI holiday from June this year to June next year as offered by them free of charge. We are being told that there is no availability unless we want to go to a different hotel at a much greater cost and that we will have to pay the difference! This is the same for May and July 2021!! If we cancel there is a £400 fee. Can they do this? We have been backed into a corner. We expected the same holiday at the same price just moved to next year! Thank you in advance.0

Just received an email from TUI stating that the holiday they cancelled due to covid 19 does not entitle me to a full cash refund but an offer of a refund credit for now and if I don’t take up this offer a full cash refund will only be paid 12 months after the due date I was meant to travel, fuming to say the least.0

Loads of people rebooking for next year like you .
It's the same reason summer holidays are so expensive after the schools break up

If there is no room at the hotel you want, you will have to go to a different hotel, they cant magic rooms out of thin air.0

Just found this on the TUI website...pretty sure its newly put up. So they are saying 'refund credit' within 4 weeks of departure date (we are at end of week 5 & still no contact from them) If we don't accept a 'refund credit' its 12 months to wait for a cash refund...this has to be illegal surely???!!!
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?
• If your holiday can no longer go ahead as planned, you’ll receive a refund credit for the full value of your holiday, and we’ll give you a separate booking incentive up to 20%. We understand that you may not be ready to book again just yet, so the refund credit gives you the flexibility to book your travel in future. Plus, if your original booking was for a package holiday, you’ll get a separate booking incentive up to 20%. Your refund credit will automatically be emailed to you within four weeks of your departure date. And, if for any reason you don’t book another holiday, we can change your refund credit to cash 12 months from your original departure date.
Also, if your original booking was part of a package, your refund credit will carry the same ATOL protection. You can therefore be confident that you have financial security.
You can read the refund credit and separate booking incentive terms and conditions.
• If you’re unable to accept a refund credit you can apply for a refund; however, we’re only able to process a refund for you once you have received your refund credit. You will need to contact our dedicated team using the details below, please be aware that our call centre teams are incredibly busy, so call waiting times are considerably longer than usual. And, please don’t call if you haven’t received your refund credit yet as our teams won’t be able to process your refund. You can call 0203 451 2868 between 9am and 7pm from Monday to Friday.

They've forgotten to mention the 20% won't be covered, it's seperate from the actual voucher.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
Hi I also received a email today from Firstchoice for my cancelled holiday of 6th April due to corona virus, saying I can have credit refund but will have to wait 12 months for a cash refund, like many others could do with the cash as soon as. But 12 months?? any advice would be grateful0
