Partial refund for cancelled season ticket

Hi everyone,
I’ve been a season ticket holder for my local sports team for over a decade. Due to the current events of everything that is going on the team decided to cancel the last few games. I’ve had an email off them saying they’re not refunding for the games left on the season ticket. I am not happy about this as I feel I have paid for a service that has not been upheld. I have 3 season tickets for my family and I paid on a credit card for them. Do I have any rights to get a refund for the games they have cancelled?
Thank you.

Are you saying the team have taken it upon themselves to cancel their remaining games rather than follow some directive from their league or other organising body?

The league decided to shut down and cancelled the rest of the season 2 weeks ago.0

What's the context? How long and how many games is a season? How much time and games were left?
Also, what terms and conditions did you sign up to when you bought the tickets?0 -
If I were a fan, I'd probably want to help support them during a time when they don't have any income. Unless we're talking about a club which has millions in the bank.

3 games left of the season which works out around £150. So not really a small chunk of money. There is nothing in their terms and conditions about all this.0

3 games of something like 40-50 games? If so, I'd let it go. If it's not a top-flight club, you may not have a team to support next year if you and everyone else gets all mercenary.1

It’s of a 30 game season. I’m not particularly bothered about next year as I’m done supporting the team after over a decade due to rude staff and it’s not worth the money to watch.0

It's starting to sound more like buyer's remorse to be honest, but it's your choice. Your only course of action if you're determined to pursue it is to write to them requesting a partial refund and if they refuse, take them to court.3

They have said that there are no refunds due them using the money for administrative tasks. Would you be fine with paying for a service and it not being upheld? If it was £10-£20 fair enough but when it’s around £150 which is not a small amount of money.0

It doesn't matter what I would be happy with, it's your choice. Accept the situation or take them to court.SB0893 said:They have said that there are no refunds due them using the money for administrative tasks.
