Morning all
Bright and beautiful day here I have a wash on the go and will hang it out for a while it should dry well today. Well OH is at home the announcement last night did not make it clear at all if people should go in or not he is not a key worker so we have erred on the side of caution and he is staying off until it is cleared up, I just hope people stick to it, there was a group of neighbors sitting out on the green yesterday having a glass of wine and chatting etc, people are treating it like a holiday !!
Onto today I shall clean the insides of the windows and dd and I will take the pup out later on, dd is working from home but OH and I will keep ourselves busy.
I had to go out yesterday to pay a large cheque into the post office and while in the co-op I saw they had two chickens left I picked up one so we will have that for dinner tonight with some mash and salad I also got two packets of mince which have gone in the freezer.
I see there was a bit of upset on the daily yesterday, I must say I agree that wishing this horrible virus on anyone is a bit much, we all have to look out for each other in these uncertain times despite what we may think of people.
Stay safe people and look after your loved ones xx

Morning all,Love and hugs to everyone living in these strange times, & special thoughts to your friends DD dumpling. It's times like these I miss having a decent garden, with DH and 2 DS all at home I think it would have been very useful
.Still DH has brought the power washer home so he could clean the flags in the back while it's nice. The stone walls and bird bath are looking very green so could do with a clean. I need to fill up the feeder the little birds use.The chubby wood pigeons are calling me too.
My news is going to get a bit repetitive I think!Gers love DMs flat.Bella as soon as boris mentioned weddings last night I thought of your DD.Keep safe & well xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)12 -
Morning camper !! Hi-di-HiI am trying to start off my day on a positive note considering the circumstances in this country. I was even dreaming about lots of people coming through the front door and I'm screaming " Social distance, social distance ! ". It's eerily quiet in the street and there are lots of cars still parked, so I hope the message has reached everyone.DD was much better last night, DGD was teaching art and crafts to Jasper and SiL was in the garage with DGS playing darts, or rather trying to play. Our DGS was unknowingly doing mental math while he played by adding and subtracting scores. Dad was decidedly chipper last night, he had seen his neighbour from a distance, who has promised to cut some of his hedge back as it's growing over the pavement. Dad wasn't happy about how long his hair will be, as I usually cut it every few weeks. I said not to worry, he will look just like a film star........ Harpo Marx

Mr Fix It is working away trying to make a face visor, he's found my sewing kit and he already has a plan to make masks. Oh well it's keeping his mind active. I think he's concerned about getting his oncology injection in April when he has to go to the surgery.Today there will be more physical work undertaken as another day of lumberjacking awaits. I'm so glad the sun is shining this week and we have been able to get out into the garden, it has certainly lifted our spirits, especially mine. I really feel for those families with small children who live in flats.I shall send healing vibes to everyone, their families, friends and animals. Also special hugs to all, we will all in be need of those at some point in these unprecedented times. We need to support each other here and help each other, as some of us will feel frightened and maybe more alone than ever.Take care all. Lots of lovenan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently15 -
Morning all.
I do feel for those of you who have family risking their well-being and even perhaps their lives, to help and protect others.
It makes me very cross that this situation has largely been brought about by selfish people, like your neighbours RedRuby, who couldn't do what they were asked and stay away from other people. It seems that some folk can't, or won't, put up with anything that interferes with their own pleasure. I would have thought that self-preservation might have kicked in by now, but it appears not.
Another lovely day here. All my gardening tools have disappeared during one of my recent moves so I can only watch the grass and weeds grow taller everyday and silently assess the possibility of running amok with a teaspoon and the kitchen scissors. I don't even have a clothes line. I thought that the previous owners were going to leave their whirly thing, but they didn't. I can't even find a hole where they had it, which means that even if I buy another I won't get it installed until a workman is free to come and do the necessary. In the present circumstances that doesn't look hopeful.
In the meantime there is more than enough indoors to keep me busy should I feel inclined to busyness. I certainly don't at the moment.
Dumpling, I will offer up a prayer for your friend. I'm well known for storming heaven's gates with demands for people's needs to be sorted.
And TA, try not to worry too much. That's a perfectly useless thing to say I know, but honestly, your worrying is going to be just one more thing your family have to worry about. If you see what I mean.
I was complaining to No1 son that apparently my age put me into the vulnerable category. He said not to worry, that I was the least vulnerable person he had ever known. It was sweet of him. I think.
Of course he could have meant that I had always been a stroppy old git. Mmmmm!
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You wake up every morning to fight the same demons that left you so tired the night before. And that, my love, is bravery.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Good morning all,
No running today as the HT has asked for a rest day. As I like to try and run a democracy here rather than a dictatorship, permision has been granted. I had a migraine at bed time last night but he doesn't know that's the real reason for not going.
My "to do" list is growing ever longer. I'm thinking thois afternoon I may clean the inside of the car if I'm feeling up to it. I also need to bake some brownies for the HT. I'm not keen on brownies so that fits in nicely with my diet plans.
We're tring to keep tea breaks and meals to our usual times so that we have a routine to follow. Yesterday we broke the cat. Between us playing with her and her following us round the house (mostly to the kitchen) she was so fast asleep on the HT's bed at 7pm last night that she didn't wake up even when I was standing next to her talking to the HT16 -

Morning old friends, just thought I would pop in to say hello, and hopefully find you all well. Been a bit crazy at Villa DG. We had been out to our Spanish home, due back on the 22nd, which would was Mothers Day & the day before J's birthday, so would good to spend it with him and the family for once. But was nit meant to be. J has got a new job in Canada, he was worried about being stuck here with no job, even though it's with the same main Company, so he flew out thereon the 14th. His family are hoping to go out in July, but no-one holding their breath on that atm. We didn't know what to do about returning, J wanted us to remain as we were OK there, under lockdown but hey hoy! However, travel insurance not extended so headed back, arriving on the 21st, didn't go to see the kids, which was heartbreaking, but was the right thing to do. Now back home, put ourselves into 2 weeks total isolation due to travelling through Spain & France, then we should still continue it was DH was 70 last August. J is spending 2 weeks isolation alone in Canada, and DiL is having fun keeping an 18mo & and a 4yo entertained!🥴. Would swop places tomorrow.
I'm not too worried about the staging in, I have enough projects/hobbies to keep me going, so other than meal planning, financial & most of the cooking, I am letting DH keep busy with things
Stay safe all, ((hugs)), prayers, spoons & positive vibes all round. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?11 -
Nanny, that was our big concern because Steve has his injection next week. We were notified today that they aren't doing the pre-bloods in the busy out-patients dept and he'll have a telephone consult with the doctor. The treatment centre is much quieter and more segregated and we have some masks that we got last year when he had pneumonia, I'll make him wear gloves as well and I'll probably wait in the car. All the planning for such a simple thing!12

Donny lovely to see you posting xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.9 -
Would you believe it - I broke a front tooth this morning! Talk about timing...I phoned my dentist to no avail. Unless I'm in pain then no emergency appointment. As it's really a white vertical filling I'm hoping it won't begin to hurt. The dentist advised me to buy a temporary filling kit so I've been out for that. Don't think I'll use it yet as it's only really meant for 48 hour use. Meanwhile I look like FaginIt's very eerie outside, people are still around though there's a lot of body swerving going on. At the big Boots store they were doing one-out-one-in with staff at the door which was kept shut inbetween people. I reckon there were about 15 customers inside. That seemed to be the same routine at a couple of banks which I drove past, queues outside, doors closed and careful passing.DG - it's really good to hear from you again.BELLA - my heart breaks for your family.CRANKY - sneaky!NAN - my hairdresser rang me on Saturday to cancel my 03 April appointment. She offered me an immediate one which I turned down and made a new appointment for after Easter. I'll be a shaggy dog too. I can always trim my fringe.SNOOZER - you sound well planned. All we can do is all we can do.Take heart, if we all do our bit this will pass.14
