It is normal for pressure to be less on the hot than it is on the cold.  Plus underpowered combi boilers will struggle to heat fast flowing hot water, which is why I sometimes slow down the hot water tap in the winter so the water comes still comes out hot.

The pressure is fine now . The only thing is it takes a bit longer for the hot water to work straight away (over a minute ) . Having said that, once it's hot , it stays hot .
I have just phoned up the lady  at Colin laver Heating and apologised for being "a stupid customer ." 😹
I left a message on the installers phone also .
Always best to be honest and upfront .
    Thanks for your help 😼👍
  • To be fair to yourself another_casualty it sounds like the installer shoe-horned the work into one long day for his own convenience or profit, and this seems to have left him short of time to check everything was working as it should.
  • Yes, there was a bit of that 😸
I was just in the shower and the inspector came over to check . Nice guy . I must say that I am lucky to have it for obvious reasons . When I was vetted by eon to make sure I qualify for the eco scheme I had to wait a couple of months . No problem , as I try to have the laid back approach as much as possible . What with the main headlines in the world , I'd say I just about got it done at the right time 😸

Not really, it takes a day to do a combi swap if its just one out one in. No idea why some muppet would quote 4 days.
He should have noticed the issue whilst doing the benchmark though.
