No, not yet, I would wait and see what is happening in the world first. When would you have to pay for the dirt cheap flights? and what would be the refund policy?Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

If they are really cheap and are to somewhere you actually want to go to in March then Yes. Pay with a credit card and keep your fingers crossed.
I think that once this crisis has passed on there will be a surge of bookings and prices will rise.0 -
Depends on how dirt cheap and if you are willing to "loose" the money, yes you may get chargeback, refund etc back but I wouldn't go in it thinking that you would get it back 100%. They may turn around and say you brought after the crisis started so you are not entitled for a refund. TBH I would take the chance if its where I want to go at a price I'm happy to loose.
Thanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them. Currently living and working in Canada  :dance:0 -
The flights might be cheap but what would you expect in the city or resort you flew to?
Closed hotels, shops, bars museums etc? Some might never reopen - so I will hang fire just in case.

As the exact duration of this pandemic is as yet unknown, even the best travel insurance provider would not cover you for flights bought after the Foreign & Commonwealth Office advised against all but essential travel abroad. Therefore, if you can afford to lose this money, go ahead and buy, knowing that there is zero certainty right now about firms' viability and whether certain towns/countries' tourism industries weather this storm.Happen to think easyJet will be alright but I would simply set the money aside and jump at the first chance I can get when this is finally over.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

There's a chance Easyjet maybe bankrupt by next year .
I wouldn't book with them0 -
Yes but only pay by credit card. Nobody knows what the situation will be in 12 months time, but if we haven't got on top of Covid19, loss of cost of a flight will be the least of our worries.

I'm the same opinion of not booking. We were due to go to NYC in 2 weeks time but our tour operator is sending emails asking to keep the money and re book for next April. I'm ready for a fight as o want my money back and will hopefully rebook in November or December if this has passed but I want to make that decision. we are waiting go hear from them as well as had insurance and paid on 2 credit cards. Time will tell what happens but not sure we will find out soon since they are now probably shut.0

I was coming on here to ask if it would be stupid to book a holiday for the end of May this year - think I have my answer, but why are companies selling package holidays to, for example, Italy?0
-
They are selling because FCO advice doesn't cover that far in advance.
