Barclaycard reintroduce "user friendly" Rewards card - no foreign ATM fees for currency withdrawals

Thanks to MSE for flagging it up.
No foreign currency ATM fees or purchase of goods or services - as long as you settle up full balance at next statement payment due date.
Modest 0.25% cashback is also useful.

Perfect timing... Just what I want, a travelcard....
  • Maybe Barclays know something we don't ?
  • Also, unlike previous similar offerings from Barclaycard, no time limit for the expiration of the no ATM fee etc. benefits.
Useful for future holidays, if they ever transpire !!!

Did anyone apply for this card online and get a decision immediately? I applied yesterday but was told they would write to me within 5 working days with their decision. Btw I have a near perfect credit history.

I've recently got mine but not by applying as such. I had a bog standard Barclaycard without any benefits which I wasn't using and they offered to swap it to this one which I did. Took a while for the exchange to go through but they gave me £20 compensation when I asked (didn't complain) how the process was going.

They offered? Did they write offering to change? I messaged them a few days ago to see if it was possible to change my platinum card to this rewards card, but no response so far.

They emailed me as below and included details of the card benefits. I thought it odd that requested a text response but it all went through and I'm happily using the card.

I have No foreign currency fees with my Nationwide flex-plus. It does come in very useful. When I went to Italy last October I just used my card everywhere. Normally the transaction fee alone can be £4 with withdrawing cash from ATM.

Have you ever paid any interest on the old card?
I just wonder if customers who always pay off the balance in full each month are attractive to them.
