Anyone had any good retention deals?0

To go SIm only from a plan including a phone I requested a PAC and was immediatley offered 20Gb with unlimited calls and txts for £6. I only used about 12 of the previous 30Gb I had.
I have gone with Vodafone 20Gb £10 largely because they cover a couple of EE dead spots nearby that have been irritating me :-)1 -

It certainly seems like the £6 was a good deal - I've just called and asked to go Sim Only (contract ends next week). I've been with EE/T-Mobile for over 18 years.
I said I only need about 5GB data, but they couldn't go below £10 (for I think 2GB, then I think 3GB was £15, and definitely 120GB was £20). I suggested I'd go to PlusNet, so EE tried to sell me broadband (although I'm currently in contract with BT) - but then it turned out they couldn't improve my broadband deal.
I asked for my PAC - they texted me the PAC, and then said goodbye! Looks like I'm going to PlusNet (not really sure what to do yet!)

Sorry to reply to my own post - just to say I've now seen that the New Customer deals seem to be better than what I was offered (they insisted there was nothing better than £10/month), but I'm now considering joining again at £8 for 4GB (which is on EE's website) - not sure whether it's better to "stick" with EE, or go to PlusNet0
