Anyone had any good retention deals?0

To go SIm only from a plan including a phone I requested a PAC and was immediatley offered 20Gb with unlimited calls and txts for £6. I only used about 12 of the previous 30Gb I had.
I have gone with Vodafone 20Gb £10 largely because they cover a couple of EE dead spots nearby that have been irritating me :-)1 -
Seems what you was offered was goodbasill said:To go SIm only from a plan including a phone I requested a PAC and was immediatley offered 20Gb with unlimited calls and txts for £6. I only used about 12 of the previous 30Gb I had.

It certainly seems like the £6 was a good deal - I've just called and asked to go Sim Only (contract ends next week). I've been with EE/T-Mobile for over 18 years.
I said I only need about 5GB data, but they couldn't go below £10 (for I think 2GB, then I think 3GB was £15, and definitely 120GB was £20). I suggested I'd go to PlusNet, so EE tried to sell me broadband (although I'm currently in contract with BT) - but then it turned out they couldn't improve my broadband deal.
I asked for my PAC - they texted me the PAC, and then said goodbye! Looks like I'm going to PlusNet (not really sure what to do yet!)

Sorry to reply to my own post - just to say I've now seen that the New Customer deals seem to be better than what I was offered (they insisted there was nothing better than £10/month), but I'm now considering joining again at £8 for 4GB (which is on EE's website) - not sure whether it's better to "stick" with EE, or go to PlusNet0

If it helps to have an EE comparison point I’m currently paying £8.50 a month sim only for u/l calls and texts, and 10gb of data. I was previously paying around £13 a month - quite literally rang them up and said “I think you’re overcharging me” and after a pause the chap on the other end said, “yes, we are, let’s fix that”. I then quoted a deal that a plus net were offering me and EE were distinctly keen not to lose me to them - at the time they were losing a lot of customers in that direction I think, he matched what the deal was offering and beat the price by £1. It did involve them stacking about 5 loyalty deals together to get to that though.jonny-f said:Sorry to reply to my own post - just to say I've now seen that the New Customer deals seem to be better than what I was offered (they insisted there was nothing better than £10/month), but I'm now considering joining again at £8 for 4GB (which is on EE's website) - not sure whether it's better to "stick" with EE, or go to PlusNet🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

i did not call, but sent the text to 65075. Callback from EE next day. I said I wanted to move to Voxi or a £10/20GB Vodafone black Friday deal.jonny-f said:It certainly seems like the £6 was a good deal - I've just called and asked to go Sim Only (contract ends next week).
