Morning all
Bright and sunny morning here but with a sharp frost this morning. DD and I had a terrible night with her pup she was being continually sick and the other end, I heard dd get up a few times with her and in the end I took her off of dd at 3 and sat with her, I have had 1.5 hrs sleep and dd has had about 2 hrs, dd is working today from home thank goodness so I thought I would let her get a bit of sleep, pup seems fine this morning but is very tired bless her. so today not a lot will be done !
Yesterday I washed all the downstairs windows outside and today I was going to do the insides but that will have to wait for another day, I can see a day of naps ahead.
I had to give my mum a talking to yesterday as she had heard that the price of potatoes was going to go up so she said she would just nip out quick today with my brother and pick up a sack, I told her in no uncertain terms that she was very likely to die if she gets this virus, she said 'oh is it that serious I thought I would take some wet wipes with me and get brother to wipe his hands'I have again told her the seriousness of this all so I hope I got through !
The visit to the 'pub' was lovely yesterday no crowds at all and very quick service, we sat in the conservatory in the sun and enjoyed out drinks !!
Have good days all and stay safe xx14 -
Monna, I'm just going to try the hand grenade method in the DGC's room, it's a riot!13

Morning all. Thanks for all the head stories. I also get the voices, complete sentences sometimes......... thought I was turning into a Medium (Psychic not size !
)
Yesterday we had a visit from over-the-road neighbour, bless him he asked if we need anything and gave us his phone number again. He's only in his 20's with a wife, little boy aged 2 and he is a workaholic, but he knows that Mr Fix It has health issuses and it's not the first time he's helped us ( and others). When our water was off, he took his van and filled it up with bottled water from the water company lorry and distributed to houses our roadHe reminds me of us 40 years ago ! We have also had a leaflet through the door letting us know there is a community group that can help too. So well done to everyone, that's the spirit we need !!
We also saw DD (by phone) she didn't look very well but thinks it's a cold, DGS was ok and somewhere in the house. DGD was bubbling as usual and SiL was ok as he'd had had Brownie points because he had hidden away DD's mother's day presents, a box of chocs and a selection of gins. I think we'll be able to survive on Dad's toilet roll stash, our rice and potatoes and DD's gin. That's sounds like a party thenToday it's day 2 of playing lumberjacks, if Mr Fix It's shoulders will allow. The branch ( more tree like ) didn't come down without a fight, it took 2 of us pulling the on rope to do it ! The downside is that we are both coughing and sniffing due to the wood dust/ tree pollen. Never mind we had a lovely day outside in the fresh air and sunshine. There are other outside jobs on my list that I can do alone if Mr Fix It isn't up to more tree felling.Hope everyone has a goodish day Hugs to all the poorly ones and their families, the worried or anyone really.Take care all, stay safe.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently15 -
SNOOZER - it's Barra and Vastray which have closed themselve down completely.Builders are back, now they are wearing masks and gloves. I've pointed out the soap pump and paper towels for them to use.My lovely SIL phoned from Oz - Queensland is closing their border on Wednesday, schools still in operation and the same panic buying of loo rolls happening!I can hear the men taking up the protective sheeting from the hallway - we could be at the end of the work. Now to find a decorator who wants to work. Perhaps that will just have to wait.CSARINA - I think you're being really harsh in your comments about Piers Morgan. Whilst I agree that he is a total PIA it's not a nice thing to wish the virus on him and his family. Cruel.I've got emails to sort through, files to move around and music to listen too.15

Sneaks in again to tell MONNA don't listen to me!! I don't always practice what I preach and thinking of pinching her idea instead!! In my defense I have just stripped my bedding. I have put the clean sheet on but psyching myself up now to do battle with the SK duvet. Place your bets who will win this time!
Re silly old folk dicing with death throughout this pandemic, I had a rant on the Isolation Support thread about all the stupid old folk in my village ignoring all the advice and just carrying on regardless. I feel like printing off CANDYGIRL's post (which sparked my rant off) and getting someone to put it through their letter boxes! I seem to have morphed into a right old grump so I'll shut up now!

Morning all,
I am on unpaid leave so I have time to post on the daily again (heaven help you all). The HT hasn't been anywhere without me since last Thursday and where we have been is for a run/walk along our prom at 7am in the morning. Maximum number of people seen (at a 4 metre or more distance) roughly 5 to 8 each day. He assures me that some of the children from his school have been out and have arranged meet ups with groups of others.....
The HT fancied a gingerbread man person last week and was suitably impressed that I managed to make some. I think I might have impressed myself actually as I remembered the process being a bit messy last time. I must have found an easier recipe this time round.
I am saving the gardening and cleaning the house for when we're on lock down. We have new neighbours... they've been decorating for weeks but we helped them move in as they had themselves and a van. It's definitely the first time and I hope to goodness that it's the last that I've given anyone toilet roills (from the Brexit preps before anyone says anything) as a moving in present.
Take care all of you14 -
Morning all, wonder what today’s Downing Street briefing will bring? We’ve an allotment, so really hope we won’t be banned from going there.
lovely bright if somewhat chilly day down here on the coast.
I agree Gers, a really harsh statement re Piers Morgan, wouldn’t wish a possible death on anyone! Maybe switch off the TV, that’s what we do if we don’t care for anyone or thing.
take care of yourselves and you’re loved onesCarolbee13 -
Builders have gone- I feel bereft! 🤣 One of them mopped the floor and also vacuumed the hall carpet after lifting the sheeting. Great work. He also warned that there may be a total lockdown in which case the hall floorboards will have to wait. That's life, they can wait. Here's hoping the plasterer can still come tomorrow.Gosh...tidying up computer files is SO boring, now I remember why they're in a mess in the first place. I've got a couple of books arriving later today to distract me.Keep safe folks.

You may think I am being cruel, sorry but thats how I feel. If you do not like it then don't read it. It is so rude to talk ove someone else. Apart from anything else his views are bigoted. I will not be posting on this board again, I am entitled to my opinion.0
