Damp in my porch

We have a single skinned walled porch with no DPC, and we have a damp problem on the inside wall. What can I treat it with before painting it?

Lime wash or a clay paint. What ever you do, do not use a modern masonry paint or any of these magical "waterproofing" mixtures. A single skin brick wall without any DPC will always be prone to damp, so you need to use a paint that will help to mitigate the problem. Lime wash has the advantage that (if you mix your own) is dirt cheap and lasts a lifetime.
Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
