Afternoon all,
Nothing happening here, new washing machine arrived bright and early this morning, old one gone, just need DS3 to hook it up now.....he nearly had a heart attack when he heard that would cost 40 euro to have it done by retailer.,.......he can waste money faster than anyone I know, but the 40 euro almost killed him.
I hope that you are all keeping safe and avoiding the dreaded Covid 19.
I totally agree about the people who are stockpiling at the expense of others, supermarkets here are limiting what customers can buy which is maybe helping somewhat, but there is also the story of the man with 25 chickens in his trolley!
DD1 is coming home from Cork tonight she has been working in Head Office for the last 2 weeks, not sure if it is just for the weekend, she stays in a hotel there so is isolated apart from when she is at work.
My hair is driving me mad.....it needs to be cut but many hairdressers are closed so will have to soldier on.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this terrible time.......it will pass but currently we need to take one day at a time.
Ruby.......thinking of you.
Thinking of all the people who are working to save lives everywhere.

Late visit from me today. My friend collected me before 8.00am this morning as she thought it would be a bit quieter in the supermarket at that time. It was marginally quieter, but not much. Fortunately I didn't need much, the cashier said that my basket was the smallest she had handled so far that day. I can understand people being frightened of the future and trying to get ahead of the game, but a lot of those overladen trolleys were simply ridiculous.
I've not really caught up all day so I've written the day off.
I hope everything does well for all who post on this thread. In these days of social isolation forums like this are going to be very important.
