What are your thoughts on stocks and shares investments is it advisable to hold onto them  just ride it out through this crisis.

May I suggest you read some of the dozens/hundreds of very similar threads. Then come back with any specific questions you might have after digesting everyone's opinion

Many many variables. Different investments are going to be impacted in different ways.

Personally I have just increased my share investments. I've moved from a mixed portfolio of bonds and shares into a portfolio of 100% equities. I will be continuing to make regular investments.

I like buying good companies while they are cheap. Plus, I am a long term investor, so there is plenty of time for my investments to grow, even if they go up and down a bit over the next years.

I'd say it is absolutely advisable to hold onto investments, and to keep investing.

You want to buy low, sell high. You want to sell when the economy is doing well, not just after there has been a market crash !!!

So, you are predicting a loss close to that seen in the great depression of the 1930s.   Whilst anything is possible, you appear to be a lone voice.
Or perhaps you are going to follow that post up with another gold and silver promotion to try and ramp pricing.

Whatever is said on here will have no effect on the gold price I can assure you. Plenty of people predicting worse than the 1930's; I'm  inclined to agree, yes.

If under 60, try volunteering. The majority of the volunteer community is now self-isolating but the need hasn't disappeared.

Alternatively, learn a new skill, decorate the house or take an online course (English language perhaps?).
