I have a holiday booked for June through On the beach, i know if i carry on paying it and they cancel it then i will get my money back. Unfortunately due to schools closing i wont be earning now as i need to stay at home to look after my child. My next payment is due next week and i dont want to pay it (id rather just lose £300 i have already paid). The payment is an automatic card payment does anyone know if i was to cancel my card would they still be able to take the money? any advice asap would be appreciated

You should not just cancel your payment card.
You need to officially cancel the holiday with On The Beach if you no longer wish to or are able to go. Deposit will be lost.

Hi. Apologies if this has been addressed already but could really use some advice. Had a flight/hotel to Japan booked with an online travel agent. Flights were with Air China who had stated a few weeks ago they wrr eligible for full refunds.
I spoke to the agent (lastminute.com) who said it was ABTA protected and we should expect a full refund pending confirmation from the hotel.
Had an email today saying they are only refunding by way of a voucher which is valid for 12 months.
So while I understand cash flow might be a problem right now I am wondering if I can insist on a cash refund and if not can I claim anything on my insurance which does cover cancellation and disruption.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
