Direct line insurance and Blyth Group

We had a small kitchen leak that unfortunately led to 6 floor tiles cracking. As tiles were out of manufacture, Direct Line sent Blyth Group in to retile half our downstairs with new tiles.
Blyth sent in unscrupulous cowboys who did the worst tiling job you have ever seen, e.g. not grouted properly or at all in some places, grout not cleaned off stuck tiles on the wall to hide massive gaps between the layed tile and the wall, they put leveling compound down and raised the floor so high that the white goods don't fit under any more, tiles layed like a ramp into the garage so back door wouldn't shut, cut tiles on utility worktop with no protection, splattered and dinted walls, cut doors off as floor was too high, damaged and dinted kitchen units, cut an inch above the tiles from the door surrounds etc, etc.
It became apparent that these contractors had done 2 other jobs for Blyth and been thrown off at least one of these previously.
Blyths attitude to us has been dreadful and unapologetic but are "playing the game" in trying to put things right.
However we would like compensation over and above Direct line and Blyth putting this right.
What are our options here as DL are offering peanuts and Blyth indicate their policy is not to pay compensation?
Thanks in advance
