PROrion - has one of you threads been deleted - the one where you gave a long list of You paid us/ we charged you ?
I still think something odd about Dec 22nd moving out and moving in readings - what did you actually do ?

PROrion said:Update, Have just got off the phone with Octopus and they again say that the 600 debt is correct. So for 3years with the coop we had no problems, but in 5months with Octopus they tripled my bill and im 600 in debt go figure. Most of that 5 months is in a different house with different consumption presumably?I would strongly suggest you look carefully at your energy readings in the new house to understand where the money is going.Need to focus on frequent meter readings to get a grip on what you are doing to be using that much power.Especially in a different house, it is easy to miss things like an immersion heater left on, or the impact of electric heating vs gas for example.Just switching to Octopus isn't going to have tripled your bills, but moving to a different house certainly can...

PROrion - I don't think you have replied to my earlier question :-
I hope this hasn't been confused with the house move - you did give the old supplier readings when you moved out and got a final bill. Then you moved in and gave new supplier readings and then switched supplier
I suspect that you have tried to continue with Octopus at your new home. It's not as easy as that. You cancel the contract at the old home when you move out; at your new home you contact the existing supplier and get put on a deemed (EXPENSIVE) contract; you are then free to initiate a switch..
PROrion - is that what you did ?

Switched to Octopus Energy at the end of Jan due to price and their good customer service. Not been very impressed with them so far had to complain about their service twice already. Thinking of switching anyone else had issues or been impressed?0

Had no problems myself.Took a little longer to get smart meters installed than I would have preferred, but at the time every supplier was having issues getting enough of the SMETS2 meters.Since then I've been enjoying the really cheap prices on their Agile tariff and have switch my gas tariff 4 times as newer cheaper tariffs were released. No penalties to swap and no limits on which tariff to swap to.I can't imagine ever wanting to switch elsewhere based on my experience.Do keep in mind though that they are an online provider so expect to do most of your communication with them via email. If you require a prompt and responsive phone service they may not be the best choice, but they do have a phone service if all else fails.0
