The voucher I received today was for the total amount of my husband's return fare. Nothing yet for mine.
    Very odd with my voucher
    I've paid for 3 transactions, Flights, Luggage (x 1) & Reserved Seating
Air Transat appear to say they will issue credits for the flights (per person) & and extra bookings separately
yet I received a credit note last night for an odd figure which is neither half the flights or the full amount for flights.
    very confused here

Is it possible they have issued your flight refund plus seating or baggage but still a part to come?

No its not, I've just added 50% of flights & Luggage (x1 £80) plus Reserved seating (£163) the total is just under £60 less than the credit note I received, hence how I'm confused here

At this stage I wouldn't worry about it and wait and see what other credit notes you receive. Hopefully with the chargeback it will all become academic anyway.

Fully agree with you, just baffled & confused as to how they reach the figure considering Air Transat's own explanation with regards to the credit note process and amounts etc.
as you rightly point out, hopefully one way or the other it will be academic.

We booked through Expedia for a week in Toronto from 11 June. Air Transat cancelled the flight which we were expecting, although I only found out by chance clicking on the itinerary, their website says we have to claim through the agent (Expedia) and the Expedia app says makes out its us that's cancelled.
I feel defeated before I've even tried to start sorting anything. I wouldn't mind accepting the vouchers so we could go in 18m or so, but the Expedia app is looking as though it doesnt acknowledge the offer of vouchers by the airline.
2013 - Finally got the house we' ve worked so hard to get......now it's a life of diy and no money....couldn't be happier 😊
2020 - mortgage free target set 8 years and counting 🎯
Even the longest walks start with one small step....get your boots on.

I would suggest you contact Expedia by email and find out exactly what their position is and ask for a refund as you're entitled to. I would have accepted a credit too as I go every year but with the way Air Transat have been treating customers I'm not so inclined to do so now. They are also about to be bought out by Air Canada so may not even be in existence. No guarantee that your credit may even be honoured.
  • Received two emails from Air Transet last night, informing us that our flights from Glasgow to Toronto on 2nd June 2020 had been cancelled, each email contained a voucher, the value of these vouchers came to the full amount I had paid for the flights. Been in touch with Insurance company but not covered. Phoned Air Transet this morning (very surprised how quick they answered the call) to claim a refund, was told to email the request to customerrelations@transet.com, has anybody been asked to do the same. What proof do i require from the Air Transet to proceed with a chargeback,or Section 75 on my credit card?

I have now received my other credit note (in the Mrs name) the joint total amount is correct and I can now understand how I have much more than her.

for reference purposes, the T & C's relating to the credit notes are below.

The face value of this credit voucher may be applied to the purchase of any product marketed under the Air Transat & Transat Tours Canada brands.

The following conditions are cumulative and applicable to this credit voucher:

    • valid for a subsequent trip completed within 24 months of the original return date*; • it cannot be exchanged for its monetary value, is non-transferable, nonnegotiable and cannot be extended; • if booking through a travel agency, please provide copy of the credit to the agent at time of booking; • if booking through our Contact Centers please call 1-877-872-6728. At time of the reservation, please advise of the intention to apply the credit to the purchase; • the face value of the credit voucher will be deducted from the total invoice upon validation.

    • the voucher may only be used by and for the person to whom it is issued.

*If you do not use the full amount, it will remain as a credit on file and can be used at a later date. If the price is higher, the difference will be charged to the file at the time of the change.

Contact Air Transat either by Facebook Messenger or Twitter if possible as they are far quicker to reply than their email contact. Request a refund and you will get their template reply of not being able to give you a refund etc, etc. Once you have that reply in writing via PM/DM then contact your credit card provider and initiate the chargeback for "services not received". If they ask you if you have tried to sort it with Air Transat then say yes as you have done.

Please also email the CAA and lodge a complaint about Air Transat as the more complaints the better. Their contact email address is earlier in this thread.
