Coronovirus cancelled flights refund not e-voucher

Will the Hotel still be open? If so, then they are not required to give you a refund if you simply choose to cancel.wackie said:I have a hotel booked and paid for 3-6th April £363.00, Hotel is owned by Shearings. They are refusing to give me a refund, voucher only, although Saga, Center Parcs and others seem more obliging. Being an OAP and unsure if/when I should travel again I find this unacceptable.
Shearings keep quoting “force majeure” at me, as does my travel insurance
If they are closing the Hotel, then they are in breach of contract and must give you a refund. If they refuse to give you a refund, then ask your card issuer to raise a charge back (debit card) or claim a S75 refund (credit card). If you didn't pay by card, then sue for breach of contract using the Small Claims process.0 -
So worried about this, we spent a lot of money to go away with holiday (flights and resort) booked with EmiratesHolidays. They have offered a credit voucher but I just want my money back. I part-paid by credit card so I believe I am covered under section 75 but looking at the above posts maybe some card companies are claiming they can't refund money as it's Coronavirus related.

AgentOso1 said:Update to say that third time lucky contacting the agent. They say that a refund is now being offered. That said, I have no idea of when it will come.Sadly, the agency has now closed stores and there is no joy in getting through to the call centre. Alas, no refund and twitter is awash with people trying to get their money back. This looks like it's going to take some time.0
