The Selfie Lottery [Edited By Forum Team] 2020

Hey all,
Looks like our good old friends at 'The Selfie Lottery' are back, this time with a fresh rebranded site that looks and operates great... the only issue being that they're advertising they pay out daily, when in reality they do not pay out, ever.
https://theselfielottery.com/
It's quite simple, you sign up and receive daily bonuses in your cashpool for logging in and then extra cashpool input for completing incentivised offers such as referring friends, completing surveys, signing up to gambling companies and downloading specific apps etc.
You then sign in daily to see if you've been chosen as the lucky winner, however the lucky winners seem to be rather generic profiles and the claimants don't actually exist.
Is this legal for a company to act in such a way? You'd expect that if you completing offers and earning them money then they would at least make the site legit and pay out what they say they pay out, advertising large payout numbers that are plucked from the air with stock / random user photos and seems like a bit of a cheat, how sad.

As I never click on links in posts I don't know whether or not this actually requires one to part with money, but If all people have lost is a bit of time by signing up, then it's not much of a scam. Generally, a scam means someone loses money.

Hi, the company has asked for a right of reply. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum:
"Hi SliverUK,You are not the first person to notice our flash new site, thank you. Although I am unsure what you mean by “generic profiles”.Our users do not have profiles on our website, we only display their selfie and username on the recent winners page.Since launching in February 2020, we have paid out over £1,300 to our winners and this is growing each day.I hope we have cleared up your concerns for you.Kind RegardsThe Selfie Lottery"
