Annual Travel Insurance expires

Hi I’ve currently got annual travel insurance which expires at the end of March, I have already booked my summer holiday in France for July but I am unable to renew my travel insurance because of the Coronavirus and the insurance company not accepting renewals currently. Will I be covered under the old policy should I need…

I would be weary travelling at all this year, I have a trip booked last year to go to Japan this Sept and I am still mulling what to do, I may cancel it anyways and take the hit, either that or get stuck and not being able to come back for an unknown time. Look at the amount of Brits that were stuck abroad
