Paying other people back from credit card refund?

hi folks, newbie here looking for expertise! Husband booked & paid for golf holiday for him and 9 buddies. It was cancelled with Thomas Cook, then rebooked. Now it’s cancelled due to the current travel restrictions. Lucky in one sense, that he’s getting all the money back, but we’re now panicking about how we’re going to…

Transfer the 4k balance to a 0% balance if it's not already on one if you can, then when the refund comes through ask the credit card company to transfer the positive balance back to your bank (no need for cheques, they take a lot longer).
