Can anyone remember an old scheme where you could get a new boiler free.  Probably 8 to 10 years back but could have been longer.  Wondered what the terms were.

Looks like it may still be available, subject to meeting a very strict list of conditions (in receipt of certain benefits etc).  Have a look at your energy provider's website.

Were you thinking of the Warm Front Scheme?
As the article indicated, it ended in early 2013.
