It's because you signed up to a fixed price monthly cost. Now your contract has ended, you can move to a new contract, or carry on as you are if you prefer, as you're currently doing.0

All EE are doing is trying to get me to enter a new contract saying it will be cheaper still not telling me why I'm still paying for a phone that I now have owned for two mouths0

You bought a fixed price monthly contract. Now that the contract is ended, you don't have to stay on it. At present, you're chosen to stay on it.
Why not move to a cheaper contract? Or get a new one with a new phone?0 -
I'm not going to pay for a phone that I now own would you pay for something that you have payed for already NO know one would0

Go sim only with another provider on a one month contract. DS you would be supprised how many people are still paying over the odds.

I don't know why you want to do that, but you effectively are. You need to tell me why you want to pay for your phone again, because it's a terrible decision, but one that you can still change - but only if you want to.Dirtyscaff said:I'm not going to pay for a phone that I now own would you pay for something that you have payed for already NO know one would
So I will say it one more time. Get a new contract, go elsewhere, go sim only, but stop paying for your expensive out of contract plan.
Alternatively - carry on paying for a phone you own, for whatever reason you may have.0 -
You've owned the phone from day one. The contract was for the air time on a minimum term of 24 months, after that, unless you do something about it, it continues on a monthly basis.Dirtyscaff said:I'm not going to pay for a phone that I now own would you pay for something that you have payed for already NO know one would
EE have continued to bill you because you didn't do anything when the minimum term ended. . .

Shop around and move to SIMO or PAYG.
If you sign up to phone contract in future, make sure you set up a reminder on your phone calendar on the 23rd months.0 -
You may be out of your minimum contract term but the only way to stop paying for the contract is to give whatever notice you contractually need to give and then take out a sim only contract or go payg. EE are under no obligation to stop charging you at the end of your minimum tern, the onus is on you to cancel. Morally wrong but legally fine.2

Switch to a 30 day rolling contract with Plusnet (who use the EE network) and save yourself a whole chunk of money.
