i have sent the defence to CCBC and i've received the auto response. The Appendices are within the PDF with the Defence as one file, is this wrong to do? should it have been individual files?

Unless anyone knows to the contrary, send it to this email address, bcc it to yourself (either your standard email address or a throwaway you've created to deal with the charge) to prove that the email has been sent (and has not rebounded as 'undelivered') and take it from there.

Should MCOL update saying they have received my defence while being shut with corona virus? how does the closure effect my case? will the deadlines be extended etc.?
my next step is to start on the directions questionair, there is no issue emailing my completed DQ to the CCBC but i have no access to a printer to be able to send a physical copy to CEL, will i receive a blank DQ in the post to send to them?

Nobody knows , these are extraordinary circumstances so nobody can give you those answers , certainly not us volunteers

Yes you would or should receive a DQ from the CCBC , but personally I would download it , fill it in and email to the CCBC and to cel , followed by a postal copy to cel at the earliest opportunity when you can print it (find solutions , not barriers)

Personally right now, due to the current circumstances, I would also post the defence marked 'defence first filed by email on xx/xx/20' and (in the same envelope) the completed DQ, to the CCBC.

Ok, i will get that sorted. Do you think i should send my defence and appendices to CEL along with the DQ? i havent been able to source a printer so im having to use an online document printer service so it will take a couple days to recieve the files and then a couple days to arrive after i post them. Should be ok as long as i make sure to put the date in which i emailed them origanlly? The deadline for my defence is not the deadline for the DQ right? (which is in 6 days)

Is the answer not in the stickies/newbies at the top of the index page,  which, surely, you have read.
