We were supposed to fly to Lanzarote on Monday with Jet2. Not in the same league, I know, but still sad. Would have been safer out there as the 4 cases that were suspicious proved negative and they have just 2 more awaiting results, No wonder they don't want us UK potentially affected out there! However, it's followed mainland Spain and shut schools, OAP daycare, all tourist sites, markets and fiestas, so wouldn't have been the Lanzarote we love

Thank you guys. I appreciate the thoughts. So sorry granny biker about your holiday too. 
We just couldn’t live with ourselves if one of our nearest and dearest got sick.

There are currently 3 cases of Covid-19 in Lanzarote.  This morning I heard from someone who runs a business out there to say it is proposed they are on lock down for 15 days - you have to keep 1 meter apart, and no going to the beach, bars and restaurants.

Aw, I'm so sad to read this. To be honest, you've probably made the right choice, and I just hope that the extra time will give you an opportunity to make it even more special when it happens. Sending a huge (and safe from a distance) {{{{{HUG}}}}} and best wishes.

So sorry to hear this, this year is just cr*p. No way near in the same league but we were due to fly to Japan and have taken the decision to postpone and potentially lose money.

I'm disinclined to comp at all at the moment because I think all forms of post/package delivery are going to shut down before much longer, or at least be limited to essential items for a few months.

I sort of agree!  I buy alot from Etsy, particularily European sellers, but because of the flight cuts, I fear that orders from the EU will be delayed or will have stopped - so I have stopped ordering..  I also think that our RM delivery will be affected as people won't be able to post (if Post offices are even open?) or delivery drivers or our on-foot delivery posties will be able to deliver in future? The future is unpredictable so I not even considering entering comps that involve holidays, gigs, etc.... such unpredictable times!  I expect any wins will take time to deliver, if at all....
