It seems to me that most, is 90% of MSE eTarrif electricity posters count money not kWh when looking for annual TOU costs.
It's really uncomplicated: kWh÷12=DD
I'm sure 99% of all posters can see instantly their kWh use by month/season/year on their online bills. An easy calculation folks ! Best of luck.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Doesn't surprise me @ all Gerry !. Nowt to do with your bank DD is it ?
kWh÷12=DD= an annual average £.s.d. just divide the annual £ by 12. But of course you already knew that didn't you.Gerry1 said:Richie-from-the-Boro said:It's really uncomplicated: kWh÷12=DDSo 174.83kWh is collected from my bank account each month?I think not. ((Annual consumption in kWh x pence per kWh) + (Daily standing charge in pence per day x 365)) x 1.05 / 12 / 100 = £MDD.This assumes it's not a leap year and that rates exclude VAT.0

I signed up for smart pay as you go I owed nothing to anyone and almost 4 years later a whole lot of threats they refused to actually take me to court and fitted a classic prepayment meter in a home with only DWP benefits and 2 young children 2 of us long term sick or disabled and in 3 days it has cost me £93 in Electricity.
E.on lied to the Ombudsmen services on many occasions they were found to be at fault in many areas
Now they are trying to attach a £5800 debt to my account when the actual figure is nowhere near that amount and said I would use £63 of electric when my friends are in larger homes only paying £30 a week.
They lie so much I have refused to make telephone calls with them and I am currently back with the Ombudsmen because I have a regular 3 bedroomed home and nothing unusual plugged in but there is no way on this planet a single person and 2 young children are going to use over £4000 a year on just Electricity0 -

Fine, thanks. I was merely pointing out that your "kWh÷12=DD= an annual average £.s.d." formula was seriously inaccurate because you had forgotten all the daily standing charges that have to be added on, all 365 or 366 of them.0
